Musician Bebe Cool recently ignited controversy by asserting that he controls the music playlists on Uganda’s radio and television. His declaration did not sit well with certain artists and media critics, who condemned his stance as selfish. In response, Bebe Cool lashed out at his detractors, describing them as slow thinkers and foolish individuals who aren’t worth his time.

He explained that he was simply encouraging them to build better relationships with deejays for their own benefit. “I don’t have time for artistes who are slow thinkers.

Many of them are stupid and don’t understand the industry dynamics; I was just giving them a wake-up call,” he stated. Notably, artists such as King Saha, Ziza Bafana, and B2C, among others, have been vocal in their criticism of his remarks.
